The Story Behind the Roasts
Traveling beyond the boundaries of my comfort zone is something I have enjoyed doing since the age of 8 when I first ventured out of my Northeast Philadelphia neighborhood into an adjoining one. I still remember the path I took and the things I saw. It was mysterious, unnerving, exciting but full of adventure and awe.
I had since traveled throughout the United States and the world; and, whether I was visiting unusual places in Philadelphia, the woods once known to Daniel Boone, Texas, Gorges de Verdon, Dubai or Baghdad, all of these times have become the depths and desires that define my life.
My stories are presented through my roasts. Each of MRC's roast profiles are uniquely designed to capture the essence of the people and places I met during my adventures - the Dutch, Danes, French, Italians, British, Egyptians, Ugandans, Jordanians, Iraqis, Indians and, of course, my fellow Americans.
Although the world may seem an unfamiliar yet fascinating place, I discovered that the coffee experience is one that brings us together in a moment of absolute aromatic harmony. Specialty coffee roasting is enjoyed by all.
